‘After watching the grand military parade, my heart couldn’t calm down for a long time.’ On 3rd September, Yao Yuyi, the Editor-in-Chief of China Times, a young man from Nantong born after 1985, said excitedly.
As a representative of foreign media journalists invited to participate in the event, at 2 am on that day, Yao Yuyi entered work mode and participated in activities such as press conferences and military parade viewing.
As a Chinese who has worked overseas for many years, Yao Yuyu was particularly excited as it was his first time to attend a military parade. ‘Wherever we go, our motherland is always the strongest support.’
37-year-old Yao Yuyu graduated from the University of Groningen majoring in International Cultural Communication. He once reported in depth the major news that three translators spent 13 years translating the entire ‘Dream of Red Mansions’ into Dutch, which attracted widespread attention at home and abroad. In the past few years, he has been invited invited to participate in activities back home many times, and has played an active role in telling Chinese stories well and spreading China’s voice well.
