Marcelo Suarez Salvia, current Argentine Ambassador to China, watched the ‘Jiangsu Football City League’ on the spot

On 17th August, it was the 9th round of ‘Jiangsu Football City League’. Nantong team played against Lianyungang team at home. Marcelo Suarez Salvia, current Argentine Ambassador to China, also went to the site to watch the game. Before the game started, he shouted to the camera in fluent Chinese, ‘Come on, Nantong team!’
Argentina is famous for football in the world. Marcelo Suarez Salvia is also a football fan. ‘We Argentinians are particularly interested in football. Every time we go to a country, we will learn about the local football environment. In China, I found out that football is very popular, especially the “Jiangsu Football City League”. 13 cities in the province have presented their excellent football skills. And it has attracted broad public participation.’ Marcelo Suarez Salvia said that it was his second time to come to Nantong. Nantong is a beautiful and joyful city. He likes the city very much. It was also his first time to watch ‘Jiangsu Football City League’ games on site. He felt very glad to be able to cheer for the Nantong team.
‘We also plan to invite Argentine football players to play football in Nantong. We look forward to an increasing number of people participating in football in the near future.’ Marcelo Suarez Salvia said, ‘we are very glad to provide such cooperation opportunities.’
Marcelo Suarez Salvia is also full of expectations for Nantong and Argentina's economic and trade cooperation. He said that Argentina and China are very good trade partners. The two countries’ economies are highly complementary. At present, the relationship between the two parties still has a lot of room for improvement. Nantong can play a positive role in it.
