According to the latest statistics of Nantong Customs, from January to July this year, the total value of Nantong's foreign trade imports and exports reached 235.31 billion yuan, there is an increase of 15.5% year-on-year, ranking second in Jiangsu Province. Among them, the export value is 156.84 billion yuan, and there is an increase of 19.7%; the import value is 78.47 billion yuan, and there is an increase of 7.7%. It is the fourth consecutive month that Nantong’s foreign trade imports and exports have maintained at a high level.

In July, Nantong performed well in imports and exports to major markets. The imports and exports to ASEAN, the EU, and Hong Kong are 5.32 billion yuan, 5.23 billion yuan and 3.04 billion yuan respectively. The growth rates are 47.9%, 21.9% and 128.4% respectively. They account for 38.3% of the total imports and exports for the month.

In July, the export value of Nantong’s mechanical and electrical products was 13.2 billion yuan. There is an increase of 42.6%, accounting for 55.9% of the total export value. Among them, the export values of electrical equipment, ships and offshore platforms, containers and integrated circuits increased 183.6%, 121.7%, 70.3%, and 28.3% respectively. The city's overall export growth rate was increased by 19.6 percentage points.
