‘5, 4, 3, 2, 1, unveil the couplets!’ On the morning of 20th January, as the red silk fell slowly, the magnificent 12-meter-long giant Spring Festival Couplets on Nantong Bell Tower revealed its true form. At the same time, 8-meter-long giant Spring Festival Couplets were hung up at the south gate of Langshan Mountain.
The strong atmosphere of the Chinese New Year also let foreigners living in Nantong experience the joy and excitement of Chinese New Year. The beautiful city and the hospitable people of Nantong made them deeply fall in love with this city. After the unveiling ceremony, more than 10 foreign friends from countries including Spain, Russia, Uzbekistan, Pakistan and Morocco also followed 4 calligraphers to learn to write ‘Fu’ characters on the spot. They wrote calligraphy on the spot, allowing citizens to take ‘Fu’ home.
