‘Digging gold’ on the mudflats

On 29th August, fishermen of Binhai Village, Changsha Town, Rudong County were harvesting common orient clams on the mudflats.

Common Orient clam is known as ‘the most savoury in the world’. Every April to October is the harvesting season of common orient clam in Rudong.
