In September, the 26th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) kicked off as scheduled in Xiamen, known as the "Egret Island."

As a flagship national event under the "Invest in China" banner, CIFIT is a key window for global businesses to experience China's opening-up firsthand and seize investment opportunities. It is also a vital stage for the Xiamen Area of China (Fujian) Pilot Free Trade Zone to showcase its institutional strengths, connect with global resources, and deepen two-way investment promotion.

作为厦门对外开放的前沿阵地，厦门自贸片区累计推出创新举措677项，其中全国首创163项，31项改革试点经验获国务院发文向全国复制推广；片区以全市不足3%的土地面积，贡献全市35.5%的外贸进出口，集聚外资企业超2300家，推动170余家本土企业出海布局，外贸与产业经济保持稳健发展。
As Xiamen's frontier of opening-up, the Xiamen FTZ has rolled out 677 innovative measures, 163 of which are national firsts, and 31 of its pilot reform experiences have been replicated nationwide through State Council documents. Covering less than 3% of the city's land area, the area contributes 35.5% of Xiamen's foreign trade imports and exports, is home to over 2,300 foreign-funded enterprises, and has helped more than 170 local enterprises expand overseas, maintaining steady growth in foreign trade and the industrial economy.
按照《厦门片区“十五五”实施自贸试验区提升战略专项规划》部署，片区将持续深化制度型开放，推行链式招商、场景化招商，统筹推进“引进来”与“走出去”，持续打造市场化、法治化、国际化营商环境，推动外资、台资、跨境合作项目加速集聚落地。
In line with the Special Plan for Implementing the FTZ Enhancement Strategy in the Xiamen Area During the 15th Five-Year Plan Period, the area will continue to deepen institutional opening-up, pursue chain-based and scenario-oriented investment promotion, coordinate "bringing in" and "going global," foster a market-oriented, law-based, and international business environment, and accelerate the gathering and landing of foreign-funded, Taiwan-funded, and cross-border cooperation projects.
本届投洽会，厦门自贸片区紧扣“扩大双向投资”与“中东主宾国合作”主线，统筹专题论坛、特装展览、专场推介三大板块，密集开展经贸活动。片区举办2026鼓浪屿论坛等3场高端活动，依托主宾国沙特的资源，联动联合国工发组织等国际组织及跨国集团，靶向对接中东能源与大宗商品龙头企业；同时，在展馆内集中展示跨境算力、具身智能等新质产业成果，并面向全球精准推介航空维修、集成电路、ESG服务等重点招商赛道。
At this year's CIFIT, the Xiamen FTZ focuses on the themes of "expanding two-way investment" and "cooperation with the Middle East guest country of honor," coordinating three major components: thematic forums, specially designed exhibitions, and dedicated promotion sessions, with a busy lineup of economic and trade activities. The area is hosting three high-end events, including the 2026 Gulangyu Forum. Leveraging the resources of Saudi Arabia, the guest country of honor, it is partnering with international organizations such as the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and multinational corporations to target leading energy and commodity players in the Middle East. Meanwhile, it is showcasing new-quality industrial achievements such as cross-border computing power and embodied intelligence in the exhibition hall, and precisely promoting key investment tracks including aviation maintenance, integrated circuits, and ESG services to the world.
片区统筹“引进来”与“走出去”：抢抓主宾国合作机遇，挖掘招商线索，组织本地企业围绕新能源、数字低碳开展跨境洽谈，拓宽出海渠道。
The area coordinates "bringing in" and "going global": seizing cooperation opportunities with the guest country to uncover investment leads, organizing local enterprises to conduct cross-border negotiations on new energy and digital low-carbon sectors, and broadening overseas channels.
