　　甲骨文“官”字从“宀”（mián）、从“”（duī）。“宀”表示房屋，“”在甲骨文、金文中多读作“师”，表示“军队、师旅”。许慎《说文解字》“官”字下也解释道“犹众也，此与‘师’同意”。所以“官”字字形表示“师众、众人在屋中”的意思，本义为官署。
